Davis County Clipper
Originally the "Little Clipper", the Davis County Clipper connected the community with news and events for 129 years (1891–2020). Its closure was softened by Sweet Cake Bake Shop, where owner Alison Regan embraced the challenge of recreating her favorite foods in gluten-free form.main street.

Ray’s Shoe Repair opened with the promise of a new sole and heel for just 25 cents a shoe. Ray founded the shop after returning from the Korean War.
Davis County Clipper
96 S Main St, Bountiful, Utah

Her pastries and flour blend bring a flavorful touch to the community.
How we did it?
For this project, we worked with the city museum to gather photos and use the original printing press, now housed there, as a filming backdrop. The curator introduced us to the former editor's son, who shared his experiences. With a film crew, we brought the story to life. Generational Story handled editing and created a plaque with a QR code linking to the video, displayed outside Sweet Cake Bake Shop.
Ray's Shoe Repair
401 S Main St, Bountiful, Utah
Ray’s Shoe Repair opened with the promise of a new sole and heel for just 25 cents a shoe. Ray founded the shop after returning from the Korean War. A talented craftsman, he passed his skills on to his two sons, Randy and Scott, who continued the family business for decades. Together, they helped keep Bountiful on their toes by industriously “saving soles and healing heels.”
How we did it?
Using community resources like published records, photographs, and personal accounts, a script was created. Generational Story is excited to collaborate with local talent and enthusiasts or provide professionals. For this project, a university student from the area recorded the narrative at a local recording studio. Generational Story handled the post-production editing and created a high-quality QR code plaque that linked to the finished video, which was then showcased outside the participating business.
